
New Avenue to Settle Claims
The Securities Industry Dispute Resolution Centre (Sidrec), an alternative dispute resolution approved by the Securities Commission that was set up in January, is already reviewing cases from aggrieved claimants.
SIDREC held two Members’ Briefing on 25 July 2018 to update its member companies on new developments, as well as to provide both SIDREC and members the opportunity to engage in areas of challenge, and share insights to help members have a better understanding of challenges faced by investors when investing.
The sessions, which were held at the Auditorium of the Asian International Arbitration Centre, received positive feedback by the attending members.

Kuala Lumpur, 15 December – The Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration (KLRCA) and the Securities Industry Dispute Resolution Center (SIDREC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen and increase the degree of cooperation and dialogue between the two organisations.
