This initiative takes place on 17 May each year to help raise awareness on the importance of the use of the Internet as well as other information and communication technologies (ICT) towards empowering and improving the lives and livelihood of the various segments of society.
The theme of this year’s World Telecommunication & Information Society Day is “Empowering the least developed countries through information and communication technologies.”
Together, let’s make 2023 a year of progress for digital transformation in the least developed countries.
