Themed “Renaissance of Capitalism: Markets for Growth”, the 5th World Capital Markets Symposium bring together over 40 global leaders in politics and finance to discuss challenges, opportunities and the future of financial markets. Speakers include Helen Clark, first female administrator for UNDP; Yanis Varoufakis, former Greek Finance Minister; Sir David Tweedie, Chairman of IVSC; Jin Liqun, President of AIIB; Fareed Zakaria, host of CNN’s Fareed Zakaria GPS; Douglas Flint, former Group Chairman of HSBC; Sean Kidney, CEO of Climate Bonds Initiative; Dr. Steve Waygood, Chief Responsible Investment Officer of Aviva Group; Georg Kell, Founder of United Nations Global Impact and many more.
These stellar thought-leaders, each of them experts in their respective field, will debate and discuss on topics relevant to how sustainable capitalism can drive long-term and sustainable development of world economies, and greater inclusivity of society; particularly in the context of globalisation and growing uncertainties within the challenging external environment. Since its debut in 2009, the WCMS series have provided a platform to promote informed discussions by prominent policy makers, thought leaders, and key industry experts and practitioners.
