The one and a half day event was supported by CFA & SIDC. Some 20 participants from SIDREC (external panel of mediators and staff), Bursa Malaysia, Financial Mediation Bureau (now Ombudsman for Financial Services), CFA and SIDC. attended the event.
In the morning, the panel of mediators and adjudicators attended a workshop on SIDREC’s Dispute Resolution Process and Approach with discussion on case studies.
Ms Sujatha Naik from the Securities Commission (SC) and Mr Khairul Abdul Kuddus from the Securities Industry Dispute Resolution Centre, explain the existence of SIDREC and how individual investors could use it.

SIDREC held two Members’ Briefing on 25 July 2018 to update its member companies on new developments, as well as to provide both SIDREC and members the opportunity to engage in areas of challenge, and share insights to help members have a better understanding of challenges faced by investors when investing.
